Position Summary
This is a Player/Coach role. We are looking for an experienced service advisor with aspirations to become a service manager. This position will report to the Service Manager. Must be able and willing to write service repair orders when needed for coverage.
Essential Duties
· Write Service Repair Orders as needed
· Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of service advisors.
· Monitors and controls the performance of the service advisors using appropriate reports, tracking systems and surveys.
· Develops and implements a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business.
· Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
· Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
· Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing and all are processed correctly.
· Holds weekly department meetings.
· Directs and schedules the activities of all Advisors.
· Facilitates and/or conducts training and assigns appropriate training as needed.
· Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
· Ensures that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.
· Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership's guidelines.
· Maintains safe work environment.
· Maintains a professional appearance.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
· At least 10 years experience as a Dealership Service Advisor - Preferably for a domestic brand.
· Knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds.
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, or government regulations.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and processes.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, customers, and other departments.
· Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.
Compensation: Salary plus percentage of Service Advisor Profit Sales. Range: $8,000 -15,000 per month
