Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring seamless customer interactions, promoting sales, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to utilize their mechanical knowledge and sales skills to drive success in our shop.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, identifying needed repairs and services, and explaining the findings to customers.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose and recommend repairs, and assist with the completion of these services.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, vehicle inspections, and service work completed.
- Handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system to process transactions and manage inventory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and technical skills to effectively promote and sell products and services.
- Participate in continuous learning to improve technical skills and stay current with industry developments.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service operations.
Skills:
- Proven experience in automotive sales and service.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including brake repair and suspension systems.
- Ability to perform oil changes and other routine maintenance services.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with tire service and cash handling.
- Effective communication skills to promote products and services.
- Ability to write clear and detailed service records.
- Familiarity with air brake systems and their repair and maintenance.
- Strong sales skills to drive revenue and grow customer relationships.
