Mechanic Job Description:
As a Mechanic, daily work will involve responding to mechanical issues and performing preventative maintenance on our large fleet. Our fleet consists of light to medium duty vehicles, trailers, construction machinery including backhoes, excavators, trenchers, compressors, and vac units.
Mechanic Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair tasks on vehicles and equipment.
- Completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues with wiring harnesses and lighting.
- Coordinate with the Garage Manager to prioritize and expedite repairs.
- Document repair and maintenance work on vehicles, trailers, and equipment in accordance with company processes.
- Entering data into fleet computer system for tracking maintenance.
- Ensure DOT compliance on all fleet items.
- Operate all company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all company and vendor personnel.
- Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness standards.

Job Type: Full-time
Hours: The schedule will be Monday - Friday and requires flexibility with the needs of the business. Some travel may be required to support our other offices.
