We are seeking a dedicated Shop assistant to join our team.We are a Concrete and Excavation company. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks within the shop environment and contribute to the overall efficiency of operations.
Duties
- Assist mechanic with various projects
- Oil change and shop cleaning required
- Support shop operations by organizing materials and maintaining a clean workspace
- Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is a plus
- Familiarity with working in a auto shop is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy material and work in climate
- Prior experience with auto shop a plus
Qualifications
- Automotive diagnostics and repair experience
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance
- Ability to perform oil changes, alignments, and tire services
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle heavy lifting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
