Automotive Service Technician
Colony Tire is currently seeking a skilled full-time Automotive Retail Service Technician to join our team! Our technicians work for competitive pay in a fast-paced environment. Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles while ensuring excellent customer service. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to quality work.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems accurately.
- Provide customers with accurate service recommendations based on diagnostics and inspections.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets safety standards and Colony Tire's quality expectations.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces, adhering to Colony Tire’s safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members regarding repairs, parts needs, and any additional service recommendations.
- Follow up on repair orders and maintain detailed service records.
- Stay up to date with new automotive technology, service procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns in a professional manner.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and technology.
- Familiarity with diagnostic and repair tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for long periods, work with hands, and lift up to 100 lbs.While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The environment may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. Employees frequently work with dirty and greasy parts and in awkward positions. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. As a result, minor workplace injuries are not uncommon, but employees usually can avoid serious accidents if safe practices are observed.
Education:
- High school or equivalency, and/or related experience is preferred but not required.
