Description:
The Rental Cashier position helps create a welcoming, informative, and efficient environment in the rental shop and provides excellent customer service to all guests.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Ensure guests are sold the proper product.
- Assist guests with questions and/or issues.
- Handle cash and process other types of payment.
- Stay informed of mountain conditions and Bogus Basin events.
- Organize and process paperwork for group visits.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward guests and staff.
- Promotes safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe situations.
Non-Essential Functions of the Job
- Clean and organize in and around the workspace.
- Assist with crowd control in the rental shop.
- Performs other related tasks as necessary.
Requirements:
- Passionate about Bogus Basin’s Mission.
- Ability to work with people of all ages.
- Basic knowledge of skiing/snowboarding.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Employee is frequently required to stand, balance, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Ability to perform heavy work (defined as exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects).
- Ability to pass a background check.
Working Conditions
- Mostly indoor, although occasionally outdoors.
- Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
