Job Summary:
As a technician at Peterson Lexus, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles to ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You will utilize your expertise in automotive technology and receive Lexus-specific training to efficiently diagnose and resolve issues, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform diagnostic tests and inspections on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
2. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections according to manufacturer guidelines.
3. Use specialized diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose complex electrical and mechanical problems.
4. Complete repairs efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all work meets quality standards and dealership guidelines.
5. Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain diagnoses, recommended repairs, and estimated costs.
6. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and labor hours to ensure accountability and compliance with dealership policies.
7. Stay current with technical training and certifications to remain up-to-date on the latest advancements in automotive technology.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
9. Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service and support dealership goals and initiatives.
10. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in Lexus vehicle maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
- Experience working as an automotive technician, preferably with a focus on Lexus vehicles.
3. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex automotive issues.
4. Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment, tools, and technology.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
6. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all work performed.
7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
9. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
10. Flexibility to work Saturday.
