Job Overview:
As an Entry-Level Mechanic, you will assist in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment. Working the 3rd shift, you will be part of a team that ensures machinery operates efficiently and safely during nighttime hours. Your role is essential in minimizing downtime and supporting productivity through hands-on mechanical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Assist in performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Help diagnose mechanical issues and execute repairs under the guidance of senior mechanics.
- Replace or repair defective parts such as bearings, gears, and belts.
- Troubleshooting:
- Support in identifying mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Aid in analyzing malfunctioning systems and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Test repaired systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Documentation:
- Keep basic records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Document parts and materials used, and assist in tracking work orders and service logs.
- Report any major repairs or potential issues to supervisors.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all regulatory and company guidelines for mechanical maintenance and repairs.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Collaboration:
- Work with other maintenance staff and production teams to address equipment issues.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding the status of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Learn from and support senior mechanics and team members.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or an associate degree in mechanical technology or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
