*Job Summary*
R&R Services is seeking a Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong heavy duty truck and trailer background and exceptional customer service skills to assist customers with their vehicle service/repair needs.
*Responsibilities*
· Interact with customers to determine their service needs
· follow up with customers on the status of their vehicles
· Assist in recommending additional services based on vehicle inspections.
· Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services
· receive parts requests from mechanics
· research parts, pricing and hours required
· periodically follow up on status for backordered parts
· retrieve parts from local vendors
· Communicate effectively with mechanics and give advice/suggestions
*Requirements*
· Prior experience in the heavy duty truck and trailer industry, preferably in a dealership or heavy duty repair
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Excellent driving record as you will be driving a company vehicle to pick up parts from various vendors.
· Ability to multitask effectively
*Physical Demands*
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit
· The employee is required to stand and walk over 50% of work time
· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
· Crawl under truck and trailers as necessary
· Compensation: DOE
· Full-time Mon-Fri
· Paid Holidays and paid sick time(accrued)
· Paid vacation after 1 year
