Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team at a local self service dog wash and grooming shop.The ideal candidate should have a passion for dogsand a willingness to learn about our products And services.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with inquiries and assisting to tubs with their dogs
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized shop floor
- Stock shampoo and cleaners
- Conduct tub and clipper demonstrations for customers
- Provide excellent customer service by upselling and cross-selling products
- Supervise shop activities in the absence of the manager
Keeping shop cleaned and maintained
Must be able to learn to trim and grind dog nails!
Must be able to work nights and weekends!
Experience
- Previous experience in dog wash preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with customers effectively
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Knowledge of phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
Work Location: In person
