We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our Meridian Ford Service team. Our Service Department is a fast-paced environment serving clients throughout the community.
Job Summary: The Automotive Dispatcher is responsible for managing the flow of service and repair orders within the dealership’s service department. This role involves coordinating the distribution of work to technicians, ensuring effective communication between customers and the service team, and supporting efficient operational processes to enhance overall service department performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Dispatching:
- Distribute service and repair orders to technicians, ensuring work is allocated based on skill level, workload, and urgency.
- Track the status of ongoing repairs and services, making necessary adjustments to handle delays or changes in workload.
- Coordination and Support:
- Communicate with service advisors and technicians to ensure clear understanding of service requirements and customer expectations.
- Assist in managing workflow within the service department to ensure timely completion of repairs and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, repairs, and completed work.
- Administrative Duties:
- Manage and update service department records, including job status, technician performance.
- Manage Technician Training, assuring the Technician has met all Factory Certifications and Requirements.
- Prepare and maintain reports on service department performance, such as job completion times and service efficiency metrics.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Implement and adhere to procedures designed to streamline service operations and enhance departmental productivity.
- Identify and address any operational issues or bottlenecks that may affect service delivery or customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, industry regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in an administrative or customer service role within an automotive dealership is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or additional training is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

Working Conditions:
