Position: Automotive Express Service Advisor
Location: Woodhouse Nissan Place (144th & Giles)
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-5:30pm
Pay: $15 per hour + commission
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Automotive Express Service Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers seeking express automotive maintenance and repair services. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively while maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
Job Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Valid Driver's License w/ a clean driving record
- Excellent customer service skills, with previous experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and organization
Duties:
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner, completes full-circle-walk-around vehicle inspection and obtains vehicle information.
- Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
- Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and technicians’ findings.
- Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer if work is needed, and provides an estimate for body work.
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
- Establishes “promised time” – and checks with dispatcher, if necessary.
- Obtains customer’s signature on repair orders and provides customers with a copy.
- Establishes customer’s method of payment and obtains credit approval, if necessary.
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day, contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair orders as appropriate.
- Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas and makes sure they are locked and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
- Keeps service department forms, menus and pricing guides up-to-date.
- Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
- Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area and customer waiting area clean.
