Service Advisor/Writer Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience as an automotive Service Writer/Advisor
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Must have, or be able to develop, detailed knowledge of vehicles and all equipment.
- Minimum of HS Diploma
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and basic applications (CDK software knowledge is a plus)
Responsibilities
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Service as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician
- Ensure that customer’s needs and expatiations are meet
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage
- Prepare and close repair orders by following the California Write it Right guide lines
- Communicate additional repairs and services needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection
- Administer the manufacture warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs
- Responsible for overseeing the technician working on customers’ vehicle including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering, job completion times
- Consult with customers keeping them informed on repairs and completion times including service expenses.
- Become a master of the product through Certification. The service advisor will keep up with industry trends and best practices.
Pay Scale:
The Advisor position has a pay scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $16.00 and $17.05. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance.

All candidates must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and pass a background/drug test.
