The Automotive Service Greeter is responsible for welcoming and assisting customers who bring their vehicles in for service. They serve as the first point of contact, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Customer Greeter: Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival, making them feel welcome and valued.
- Service Appointment Scheduling: Schedule service appointments based on customer needs and availability, ensuring optimal efficiency for the service department.
- Vehicle Intake: Gather necessary information about the customer's vehicle and service requirements, including mileage, previous service history, and specific concerns.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform a basic inspection of the vehicle, noting any visible damage or issues that may require additional attention.
- Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle throughout the service process, providing updates and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, including service orders, customer information forms, and warranty claims.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized service department, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on courtesy, professionalism, and empathy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry objects, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Ability to work in a garage environment, which may include exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
