About Fremont Auto Center:
Fremont Auto Center first opened in 1989, but is under new ownership as of 2016. Our owner, Sal Garcia has been working professionally on vehicles since 1987. With so many years of experience, he has been working at the dealership level with Volvo, Suzuki, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Mercedes Benz. Working with Mercedes, he was the first person to fix the vehicles that other technicians could not diagnose, including vehicles that were assigned to him as a foreman only. Sal has worked on Maybach’s, and is certified to work on the Mercedes SLR McLaren. As a child, Sal would take apart toys and figure out how to put them back together. At an early age, his parents knew he would be a mechanic of some type. In high school, he took an auto shop class just to do small repairs on his own. He picked it up so well that he developed a real love for figuring out a vehicle’s diagnosis. After trying to step away from auto repair, it became very clear that his is where he belonged to service best. At age 19, Sal became an ASE Master Certified technician. He took and passed the L1 Advanced Engine Diagnosis Exam the very first time it was offered. Since then, he received his AAS degree in automotive, and became a Mercedes Master Certified technician with over 5000 hours of formal training. Now, Fremont Auto center offers electronics diagnosis, smog failure diagnosis, and everything else you can think of other than auto body, tires and upholstery. When a customer schedules an appointment, you can drop off your vehicle at our shop and have the car serviced, smogged AND detailed! Although you have to go to other shops to do each thing for you, you can count on us to do it all under one roof for your convenience. Our business was built on the premise of taking care of the customer. Our primary focus is that our customers have peace of mind in their vehicle. When it comes to their vehicle, our priority is to: 1) Address the clients concern. 2) Address any safety related items 3) Focus on anything that would damage something else, or get very expensive if not mentioned. After that, everything else is optional. We inspect and recommend. Our customers are important, and will only do what’s best.
