Job Title: Mechanic
Reports To:
· Maintenance Supervisor
Responsibilities:
· Perform regular maintenance checks, routine maintenance, and preventative maintenance on trucks, machinery, and equipment.
· Perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper functioning.
· Consult with drivers and operators to collect information regarding mechanical problems. Identify problems audibly, visually, or with computer diagnostic equipment.
· Repair or replace malfunctioning parts or systems.
· Keep accurate records both in writing and electronically.
· Test drive to ensure repairs are completed and no other repairs need to be made.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent mechanical repair skills.
· The ability to work in noisy environments.
· The ability to work in various environments, indoors and outdoors in all-weather types.
· Must have sufficient proficiency to read and write in English and be able to keep thorough and accurate records.
· The ability to use or learn required software and technology and basic computer skills.
· The ability to work both independently and collaborate with coworkers and internal and external teams.
· Strong analytical skills are needed to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
· Frequent standing, stretching, bending, and reaching; occasional sitting
· The ability to lift 50 pounds
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent, additional technical or vocational training a plus
· Proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic
· Familiarity with Kenworth/Eaton.
· Valid driver’s license
· Must have a current DOT medical card, or the ability to obtain one, as the position will require the operation of a company vehicle

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $45.00 per hour
