Up to $35 an hour depending on experience
Expierience working flat-rate at franchised chains is a huge plus!

Flat Rate Tech Qualifications
- ASE certifications are ideal
- 3–5-years' automotive experience
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment screening and background check
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record

Position Summary:
The Automotive Technician is responsible for the actual service and /or repair of vehicles assigned to them by service management or their designated representatives. Repairs must be done in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards. Ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently and that the dealership’s service department maintains a consistently high level of safety and customer satisfaction that is consistent with Route 24 Auto Group’s core philosophies, principles, and values.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities:
- Properly complete the service and/or repairs for which the technician is trained as assigned by management or their designated representative.
- Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures by manufacturer and dealership.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Properly use the special tools and equipment provided by the service department.
- Produce quality work that evidence excellence resulting in scores at or above the district average as measured by monthly manufacturer customer satisfaction reporting.
- Ensure that customer vehicles you work on are returned to consumer cleaner than they were prior to being serviced.
- Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Achieve or exceed production schedules and individual efficiency benchmark set by management.
- Provide proper documentation, use of troubleshooting sheets and recording of proper detailed cause and correction on every repair order as required by management.
- Report to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers, or employees.
- Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
- Other tasks as assigned.
