Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Live Auction Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in the live auction process, assisting with the smooth operation of events and ensuring that bidders receive top-notch service. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and organization of auction items prior to the event.
- Record bids and manage bid sheets accurately during live auctions.
- Communicate clearly with bidders, providing information about items and answering questions.
- Coordinate with the auctioneer to ensure smooth transitions between items.
- Help manage the flow of the auction, including calling for bids and encouraging participation.
- Assist with post-auction processes, including packing and organizing sold items.
- Provide excellent customer service and foster a positive experience for all attendees.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an auction environment or sales is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Comfortable using technology for bid tracking and reporting.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as auction schedules require.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
