We have a small tight crew of car enthusiasts and great technicians at our shop in Clayton. We are looking for a person to join our team and help us grow our shop to the next level. Our goal is to get into doing performance work on vehicles in the future and enjoy what we love to do: Cars. We are not looking for just any mechanic, we are looking for someone who understands how cars work and is creative, optimistic, and able to come up with solutions when doing a job and isn't afraid of anything or afraid of learning. We are willing to invest in our people and in tools to make the job easier and more efficient.A Level Technician - PAY IS BASED ON SKILL LEVEL.****Diagnostic Skills + Proper Removal and Replacement REQUIRED. Must be able to work on & diagnose issues on MOST makes and models especially European. Must be up willing to learn and grow within our company
Job Responsibilities/Description:
- Complete thorough automotive vehicle inspections on every vehicle you service and perform any repairs and maintenance
- Diagnose and repair Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Braking, and Electrical issues.
- Must be able to perform Engine , Transmission, Transfer Case, Differential swaps and computer diagnostics.
- Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment (We have Snap On and Autel Equipment) such as air bag warnings, abs lights, check engine lights.
- Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
- Plan repair procedures using charts manuals.
- Test the functionality of parts and systems.
- Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
- Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
- Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
- Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
- Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
- Keep a professional appearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
