Job Description: Automotive Parts Specialist at Peterson BMW
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Rotation of Saturdays with a day off during the week.
Pay: Salary plus commission, hourly rate listed is a general range.
Responsibilities:
- Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials; ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line
- Communication:
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
- Notifies all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
- Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
- Pulls and fills orders from stock
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary
- Pulls orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number
- Follows up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily
- Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors; stocks items not picked up or required
- Manages all aspects of billing and accounts payable including internal requests billed on service repair orders and direct customer payment/invoicing
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Parts Experienced Preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Bi-lingual is always a plus!
- Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook)
- CDK experience a plus
- Ability to be analytical, problem solve and multi-task
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast paced environment
- Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
