If you’re the right kind of person for this, you probably wouldn't normally consider working in the auto industry... We’re glad we somehow caught your attention anyway.
You’re probably skeptical about working with a used car dealership! We understand. In fact, most of our team had never worked at a dealership prior (including the owner), and most of us felt the same about this industry beforehand. Keep reading though, and you may find the opportunity you’re looking for here. Not only are we quite different, but we like it that way. We don’t do much the same as the rest of the industry, and this position is no different - so we want your fresh perspective, your varied experience, and your different approach to how things can be done in this industry.
If you have been in this industry and have felt burned out due to all the negativity and distrust from clients, integrity issues, problems caused by flat-rate pay and other incentives, or the challenges of the typical automotive business culture - this would definitely be worth looking into!
WHO WE ARE:
4x winners of Idaho's Best, and Best of the Treasure Valley for 2020-2024 - Maverick is a car dealership that doesn't act like one. As mentioned, this dealership was started with no experience in the car business, and to this day, most of our team comes from outside the industry. This makes us incredibly unique, as we bring a different approach to every aspect of the business. Our customers feel that difference; they love the experience they have, and keep coming back and bringing their friends. As a result, we've continued growing since 2008, expanding into an awesome new facility in 2017, and have another expansion on the horizon! We love what we do, and we are constantly getting feedback from our customers like this...
"Without a doubt the most revolutionary dealership I've ever had the pleasure to deal with... I wanted to take the time to fully communicate how incredible these people really are..." Google Review
And another one...
"AMAZING. They were HONEST, FORTHRIGHT and PROFESSIONAL. How incredibly lucky we were to find the car of my dreams at a dealership that breaks all standards. The finest car dealer I have ever had the privilege to work with. If you are considering an out of state purchase, this is one company you can trust without any reservations." Google Review
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Most service centers want their Advisors to maximize sales - selling parts and service, sometimes whether they’re needed or not. Our approach is completely different. We’ve changed a lot of fundamental things about how this business typically works, so we can focus on quality work and building relationships. As a result, our returning clientele keeps growing, and we're looking for the right person to help us serve these clients even better.
With this in mind, we’re not looking for the high pressure sales closer whose main focus is maximizing their income - there are plenty of other places that will suit you better if that is your focus. Instead, we're looking for the person that wants to feel great about the work they do, the service they provide, and the awesome relationships they're building. In fact, this person's main responsibility will be to ensure our clients have the best experience they’ve ever had - every time! This happens with exceptional communication and coordination with our clients and technicians, to keep service and repairs going at maximum efficiency while performing top-quality work - and finding small ways to surprise our clients with fun and over the top awesome service.
This is a leadership role, requiring absolute integrity, high energy, creativity, organization, efficiency, and the ability to lead and motivate others. This position will involve typical Service Advisor responsibilities, as well as some fun marketing - constantly connecting and communicating with your clientele to build your business.
If you do not have a track record of exceptional customer relationships, excellent reviews, and growing repeat and referral business, this probably isn't the right place - as that is the first thing we will be looking for and asking you about. Nothing is more important to us than our relationships with our clients, and within our team!
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Someone that has built a following with previous clients, showing they know how to treat customers so well that they would never go anywhere else for service.
- Automotive knowledge and the ability to communicate that knowledge extremely well with your clients.
- A master of the details and logistics - improving processes and always working for quality and efficiency.
- Track record of effectively leading and motivating others
If this is you, and you're looking for the right place to continue growing your clientele, with the right shop, and the right company, this is your place!
Join our team as we grow and do awesome things in the sometimes 'not-so-awesome' auto industry. The best part, is you'll be backed by an employer that is really in it to help and serve other people, and make a positive impact in the community - so you won't be pushed to do the wrong thing to make a sale or increase profits. Instead, you'll be encouraged - even expected - to make our client's interest your highest priority - and if you've been a service advisor, you know how important that is!
If you think you are the person we are looking for, please apply via Indeed; include your resume and a brief explanation about why you are seeking new employment, and, if your resume doesn’t show automotive experience, please also tell us how your knowledge and experience would benefit our clients and team.
