What we are looking for?
Previous Mechanical or industrial experience a plus.
Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at heights, etc.).
Ability to wear a respirator.
Valid Drivers License/ State Issued ID.
TWIC Card.
Pass a physical, drug test, and background check.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with supervisor in completing repairs on USES equipment.
Own and maintain in good condition an "industry standard" collection of tools.
Participate in maintenance program by not only performing repairs, but also by analyzing the root causes of the equipment damage.
Diagnose mechanical problems to minimize the need for extensive replacement of parts.
Utilize preventative maintenance techniques to eliminate on the job problems.
Use road calls not only to solve on the job problems, but communicate these problems so that similar episodes may be minimized.
Keep a clean organized work area.
Participate actively in safety and accident prevention programs.
Continually upgrade technical knowledge, and act as an information source for service crews.
