1 Resource Group is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Small Tools and Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Small Tools and Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engine equipment, including but not limited to welding machines, generators, light towers, and air compressors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engine equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of all service and repair activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance needs.
- Provide cost estimates for repairs and submit them to customers for approval.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.

- Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines.
- Familiarity with various small engine equipment brands and models.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job.
- Valid driver's license.
