The Mechanic inspects, services, and repairs vehicles, equipment, buildings, and other property. The role is best suited for a team player who is action-oriented and can work with a firm, yet considerate disposition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the other Mechanics to plan, schedule, perform, and evaluate the repair and service of vehicles, equipment, and property.
- Build and assemble mechanical components according to requirements.
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Respond to internal and external requests and provide high quality support to customers and colleagues.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to work on equipment related to the servicing of vehicles and asphalt equipment.
- Asphalt paving and milling experience is desired.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work Tuesday-Saturday.
- Strong analytical ability, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
