Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Auto Parts Route Driver to cover the period of August 12-16. As a Auto Parts Route Driver, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of auto parts to our customers. You must have your own vehicle (Fuel Efficient), applicable Idaho insurance, and a valid drivers license, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Route Details: Monday-Friday. Starting at 6:55am in Ontario-Nampa/Boise-Ontario. Ends 5 pm. Multiple loops.
Responsibilities:
1. Safe and Timely Deliveries: Deliver auto parts to designated locations within the specified timeframe while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
2. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that your vehicle is well-maintained, and all safety features are in working order. Report any vehicle issues promptly.
3. Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload auto parts from your vehicle, ensuring that they are secure and undamaged during transport.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional when interacting with customers upon delivery.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery, mileage logs, and any required paperwork.
6. Product Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the auto parts you are delivering to answer basic customer questions.
7. Adherence to Company Policies: Comply with company policies, including those related to dress code, conduct, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license for at least 5 years.
2. Own Vehicle: Must have a reliable vehicle in good working condition (Fuel efficient small to mid size with ample trunk space and ability to fold down back seats).
3. Insurance: Must have applicable Idaho insurance coverage for your vehicle.
4. Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks associated with the job.
5. Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major violations.
6. Punctuality: Be punctual and dependable to ensure timely deliveries.
7. Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
8. Map and Navigation Skills: Familiarity with GPS navigation and map reading.
Working Conditions:
1. This position requires you to work in various weather conditions.
2. You will be responsible for your vehicle's fuel and maintenance expenses.
3. May require occasional weekend deliveries.
