We are Titan, LLC, the premier Alaskan residential and commercial sitework contractor/snow and ice management company in the Anchorage & Matsu area.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanic Lead to join our Mechanical Team that is responsible for the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment ranging from side and end dumps to aggregate screening plants and a variety of dozers, skid steers, loaders, excavators, and other construction equipment.

Position Details

Full-time, year-round position
Pay is DOE with a range of approximately $40-48 per hour
Brand new, state-of-the-art maintenance building to be finished fall/winter 2024
Schedule is M-F, with weekend shifts and overtime during busy seasons
Work is in our South Anchorage yard and indoor shop facilities with occasional local travel for on-site repairs

Position Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty vehicles & equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Conduct thorough testing of equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality
Keep accurate and timely records of maintenance and repair work
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures
Maintain a safe working environment

Required Skills and Abilities

Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Ability to work as part of a team and complete tasks independently
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Thorough knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
Serve as mechanic team lead by monitoring workload and progress and communicating with management

You’ll need to have

Your own tools
Current driver’s license
Acceptable driving record
Ability to pass DOT drug test
Ability to pass background check
Four years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience, preferably in a similar industry

It’s helpful but not required for you to have

Valid CDL
Mechanic certification
Welding experience
Certification or diploma in heavy-duty equipment mechanics or a related field
