WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BEST OF THE BEST. THIS JOB IS NOT FOR THE MEEK. We are looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to work rotations. Six weeks on 3 weeks off. 70 hours a week plus. We have two base locations. One in Anchorage, AK and one in Dillingham, AK. Mechanics travel statewide and return to headquarters. Living quarters are provided in both locations. We repair all makes and models of heavy equipment, marine engines, and power generation equipment. Service trucks in Dillingham and Naknek. Remote site work requires travel by small aircraft. Travel on four wheelers and snowmachines at remote sites is common. We are a small and flexible company who are able to mobilize mechanics quickly to "Mission Impossibles". We need experienced mechanics willing to think out side of the box to get the jobs done. We are currently looking for mechanics with some welding experience. Must have your own tools, that have been used.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment
· Requires a high degree of independent judgment
· Travel to remote Alaska locations
· Maintain paperwork/ electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner daily
· Welding, fabricating, and mounting skills a plus
· Perform preventive maintenance services on company and customer equipment
· Must provide own standard tools of the trade
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
· 10 plus years of experience repairing/maintaining diesel engines
· Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
· Extensive knowledge of construction and marine equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
· Ability to frequently lift items 45 lbs.
· Must be willing to travel to remote Alaska

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
