Job Title: PM Mechanic

Reports To:

· Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:

· Perform regular, routine, and preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks and trailers.

· Perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.

· Ensure the work areas are clean and organized and tools and equipment are properly maintained.

· Keep accurate records both in writing and electronically.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent mechanical repair skills.

· DOT routine inspection knowledge.

· Ability to work in noisy environments.

· The ability to work in various environments, indoors and outdoors in all-weather types.

· Ability to use or learn required software and technology and basic computer skills.

· Ability to work both independently and collaborate with coworkers and internal and external teams.

· Strong analytical skills are needed to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

· Frequent standing, stretching, bending, and reaching; occasional sitting.

· Ability to lift 50lbs. at a time.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.

· Knowledge of all aspects of vehicle maintenance.

· Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in diesel repair or related field is preferred by not required.

Day Shift and Night Shift Available

Night shift earns additional $4/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 – 60 per week
