General Summary:
Work as part of a large power/thermal optimization team with a focus on Qualcomm Automotive products. Main responsibilities include handling post-silicon testing, characterization, and regression testing in the lab. The candidate will also be responsible for handling hardware inventory, installing boards and managing lab equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to resolving critical issues that impact power and thermal performance on Qualcomm Automotive products.
Responsibilities
- Use power and thermal equipment to collect measurements for Power/Thermal Dashboards including
- Provide lab support to engineers during bringup and post-bringup of design prototypes
- Manage inventory of parts and tools, work with engineers and SOC bring-up team to assess existing inventory and place and follow up on new orders
- Setup and debug of issues on post-silicon hardware for different form factors, power supply equipment, and thermal units/chambers. Running regression tests and debug experiments with guidance from engineers
- Provide test results and characterization/optimization data to cross functional teams
- Maintain and manage lab space and lab equipment
- Set up test platforms and PC connections
- Install changeover kits for different projects (i.e thermal equipment kits)
- Maintain accurate documentation of devices, test equipment including equipment configurations, and maintenance activities
- Support IT & lab maintenance activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years Systems Test Engineering or related work experience
- Experience in any operating systems platform testing (QNX, Google Android etc)
- Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- High level organization and results documentation
- Passion for learning and intellectual curiosity
- Communication and ability to partner with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated
- Thermal/Power test experience on any platform is a plus
- Knowledge/experience of embedded systems is a plus
- Knowledge of SW product cycle is a plus
- Development skills in Python, C/C++ is a plus

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$18.85 - $28.27
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
