We are seeking an experienced Assistant Fuel/Lube Technician to join our Equipment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regular maintenance and inspection of equipment, ensuring that it is in optimal working condition. The Assistant Fuel/Lube Technician will work closely with other members of the Equipment division to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily service on various jobsites to include fueling and lubricating of heavy construction equipment, which includes checking fuel levels, changing fluids and greasing
- Prior experience working on CAT, KOMATSU, JOHN DEERE is preferred, but not required, including diagnostics, maintenance and repair of diesel and gas engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems on heavy grading and paving equipment
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and ensure that all maintenance is completed on schedule
- Assist mechanics with repairs and maintenance as needed
- Identify and report equipment issues to mechanics and other stakeholders
- Assist with equipment cleaning and organization
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or a related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Basic knowledge of equipment mechanics and maintenance procedures
