What to Expect
This position is for a Chassis Technician. The ideal candidate will work as a member of Tesla’s Service/Warranty MRB Parts Disposition and First Level Analysis team. The primary objective of this role is to conduct failure analysis on warranty returns for potential revenue recovery while maintaining Tesla’s integrity with the supplier. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background in automotive maintenance and testing.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve mechanical & electrical issues discovered
- Provide detailed written & verbal updates to key stakeholders
- Thorough documentation of all work performed through internal software database (JIRA) and WarpMRB
- Order necessary parts and consumables required to perform repairs & retrofits
- Work alongside outside vendors to ensure that incoming and in-process material are in compliance with Tesla’s specifications
- Execute root cause analysis, identify and implement short/long term countermeasures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
What You'll Bring
- Experience as an Engineering technician or 3+ years as an Automotive Service Technician
- 2 year technical/automotive degree preferred, but not required
- Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
- Analytical problem-solving skills & root cause analysis
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required for project deadlines, as well as willingness to tavel domestically up to 10%

Expected Compensation
$28.75 - $42.73/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
