Tire Technician Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience replacing tires 19.5 and larger using tire spoons. Also experience with using a tire machine for 16s is helpful. A wiillingness and ability to work at a fast pace is necessary. We do most of our work in the evening as trucks are coming back for the day. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for performing tire installations, rotations, and repairs as needed. This could lead to potential full or fuller time if you have experience with other maintenance services including brakes, oil changes, electrical, transmission, etc. Positive attitude and the desire to do top notch work are very important. Our goal is to keep our customers' fleet on the road with confidence.
Duties
- Perform tire installations, rotations, and repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tires to identify wear patterns and potential issues.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely to execute tire services.
- Assist with automotive diagnostics and basic automotive repair tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive service or as a service technician is preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair processes is advantageous.
- Experience in tire service, including knowledge of various tire brands and specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment commonly used in tire servicing.
