Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Detail Technician/Automotive Detailer to join our team. This position involves thoroughly cleaning and reconditioning both the interior and exterior of vehicles, meticulously restoring their appearance by performing tasks like washing, vacuuming, shampooing upholstery, applying waxes and polishes, and addressing cosmetic blemishes, all while adhering to company standards and client requests.
Responsibilities
- Thorough vehicle inspection: Assessing the condition of the vehicle's interior and exterior to identify areas needing attention, including scratches, stains, and damage.
- Exterior cleaning: Washing the vehicle using proper techniques, removing dirt, grime, and debris, and applying specialized cleaning solutions to the exterior surfaces.
- Paint correction: Removing minor scratches and swirls using polishing compounds to enhance the paint's shine
- Waxing and sealant application: Applying protective waxes or sealants to the exterior to maintain a glossy finish and protect against environmental elements
- Interior cleaning: Vacuuming carpets and upholstery, removing stains from seats and floor mats, cleaning dashboard and console surfaces, and wiping down door panels
- Upholstery cleaning: Shampooing carpets and upholstery to remove dirt and stains
- Glass cleaning: Cleaning windows and mirrors inside and out
- Detailing accessories: Applying leather treatments to leather seats, dressing vinyl surfaces, and cleaning and restoring plastic trim
- Maintaining equipment: Regularly cleaning and maintaining detailing tools and equipment like buffers, steam cleaners, vacuums, and microfiber towels
Experience
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in buffing and cleaning vehicles is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
