Operations Manager
Summary of responsibilities:
This person is responsible for the day-to-day operations pertaining to warehouse and unit processes. Included but not limited to overseeing initial vehicle verification during the receiving and check in process, warehouse inventory and placement, overseeing the unloading and loading process for transportation and vehicle processing. You are always responsible for setting a good example for NPA and its employees. You are responsible for doing this safely and responsibly. You will portray a positive image and always act respectfully to others.
Basic Employee responsibilities:
- Arrive to work on time per your required work schedule.
- Always be courteous and respectful to fellow employees and customers.
- Company equipment must be used for company purposes only.
- Company vehicles must be operated safely and within their intended purpose.
- Dress appropriately to your job duties and within the parameters of our current employee manual, (No open toed shoes in warehouse)
- Always pick up after yourself
- Keep your work area neat and clean.
- Always ask questions if you are unsure.
- Always check in and out with your direct supervisors at the beginning and end of your daily shift
Job specific responsibilities:
- Oversees and verifies Operational procedures are being applied and followed.
- Oversees the general building maintenance and ensures items that need repair are repaired.
- Oversees the loading and unloading of vehicles and works with competency of employees to follow company processes.
- Oversees and works with condition report writers and oversees decisions for processes.
- Communicate and identify discrepancies in our operating processes, report your findings to your regional manager and assist in making the necessary improvements and adjustments.
- Oversee the processes for unit placement for auctions and auction preparedness.
- Responsible or oversees the scanning and numbering process for auction set up.
- Responsible for keeping track of company equipment and necessary maintenance.
- Verifies units for auction pertaining to Year, Make, Model, Mileage, VIN, and Companion information.
- Encourages and enforces safety policies.
- Participates in weekly Operations management meetings as needed.
- Leads daily Operational production meetings.
- Handle customer calls pertaining to CR questions and help work through any objections they may have.
Daily
- Run reports for inbound inventory, received inventory missing inspections, and produce a goal for the CR team to reach.
- Morning meeting
- Walk through detail ensure they know what needs to be done for the day and they have all the supplies they need to make it happen.
- Make sure vehicles are moving from check in shoot and into the wash bay.
- Make sure the floor guys are going in a forward direction.
- Check email and ensure all issues are addressed.
- Ensure the facility stays clean.
- At the start of the day, after the first break, after lunch, after the second break – make a pass through all stations and ensure everyone is back and that they are on task.

- Ensure that all items on the auction week white board are completed before releasing the team each day.
- Ensure that all lender vehicles are grouped together if required by contract to do so.

Auction Day
- Make sure employees are at their assigned spot before the sale kicks off. Example: cart pushers
- Water is out for the customers and iced down in the summer months.
- Coffee is made and out for the customers.
- Walk through the men’s room and make sure no paper towels are on the floor and that it looks presentable. If it needs to be cleaned assign an employee(s) to take care of it.

- Make sure the caution tape is taken down.
- Make sure parking signs are put back out.
- Make sure trash from the entire facility is taken off.
Month
- Safety meeting – this should be done during the morning meeting. The sign off sheets need to be uploaded to the one drive.
- Walk the inside and outside of the building and look for cobwebs in corners that need to be cleaned up, also look for any ground keeping areas that need attention.
