Michael & Co. is a large independent Repair and Body Shop, located at 380 Lincoln Ave in San Jose. We have been in business since 1980 (Over 45 years). We reimburse our employees for additional training we may require and help keep them up to speed on the ever changing trade. We are looking for a Auto Body Technician to join our Team.
Job Responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing and performing work on the repair order with efficiently and accurately.
2. Reviewing the vehicles needs with the Estimator for any supplemental parts as needed during the repair process.
3. Addressing any and all lights on the dash board. Pre and Post inspections.
4. Performing all repairs to factory and or manufacturers specifications, including but not limited to Body Repairs, Welding, Alignment, Frame and Uni-body Repairs.
5. Inspecting all work to ensure it is at Quality Industry Standards.
6. Keeping your area up to OSHA guidelines, including storing chemicals the proper way, disposing of sand paper and body material dust in the drums provided. Making sure all aerosol cans are empty and disposed of in proper drums.
7. Using all the protective gear needed to perform your duties, including steel toed boots, safety glasses, gloves and anything else you may need to perform your duties (example, when welding, the proper welding Shield)
Job Requirements:
3 years minimum experience in auto body repair
Drivers license must be valid with a safe driving record
I-car certified (preferred)
OEM certified (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
