Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet, a reputable family-owned and operated dealership, is seeking a top performer to be our GM/Platform Manager in South Florida. In this important role, you will be responsible and accountable for customer retention and the profitability of each department in the dealership. You will plan, motivate, and coordinate the activities of the management team in each dealership. This person is expected to uphold high ethical standards, have excellent customer service, and help create a positive environment. Candidates must have a successful proven track record with a consistent and stable work history.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor, and monitor the performance of department managers
- Meet with managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance
- Monitor the daily operating control (DOC), recommending improved courses of action where necessary
- Provide corporate office with accurate weekly reports on the financial condition of the dealership
- Ensure customer satisfaction index (CSI) is above market and zone averages
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel
- Provide enthusiastic leadership and teamwork among departments
- Hold regularly scheduled managers meetings to ensure that every department is operating efficiently and profitably
- Review all requests for training, approve those which are appropriate and consistent with the dealership's goals for professional/technical ability and advancement, and monitor their effectiveness
- Coordinate with the business office to ensure that all financial records and analyses are maintained accurately
- Assist in developing and managing an effective advertising and marketing plan
- Resolve any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify
Qualifications:
- Previous Chevrolet experience
- Sound business judgment and determination
- Must have intensity and excitement

- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and provide verified references
