**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Lead Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and maintenance, possess strong mechanical knowledge, and be proficient in using power and hand tools. The person hired for this role will act as a team leader for 3 other techs and potentially a service advisor. Must be willing to take on leadership and mentorship roles and set a positive example for team members.

**Responsibilities:**

-Reliably lead a small team to aggressively get the day's jobs done each and every day, routinely meeting daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance standards.

-Conduct all duties in a safe and efficient manner, acting as a safety coach for other team members

- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues accurately and efficiently including but not limited to exhaust systems (welding preferred),brake systems, engines, starting and charging systems, electrical, A/C, emissions, suspension and other issues typical to automotive repair.

- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues and repair options

-Reliably complete assignments in a timely manner with minimal come-backs

**Requirements:**

- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role

- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for automotive repairs

- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics

- Ability to weld

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly

- Experience working in a full service shop setting is preferred

- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.

-ASE Certifications a plus but not required.

Pay range listed depends on experience and includes base hourly pay plus quarterly performance bonuses for based on hitting pre-set milestones.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.75 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
