Job Responsibilities:

- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards

- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems include engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification

- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs

- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers

- Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made

- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation

- Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs

- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

Job Requirements:

- 5 years prior Automotive Technician (Mechanic) experience is a must

- ASE certification is a plus, but not required

- Other manufacturer competency is highly considered

- Clean driving record

- Must pass pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug testing

- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service

- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
