Position Summary:
Auto Sport Detailing is seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to lead daily operations at our Santa Rosa location. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for leadership, a strong understanding of auto detailing procedures, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. As the Shop Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the team, maintaining quality, and ensuring a smooth workflow to meet both customer expectations and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced leadership and guidance to the detailing team.
- Oversee team onboarding and training, ensuring new hires are fully equipped to meet company standards.
- Communicate job assignments clearly and efficiently to team members.
- Manage the overall workflow of the shop, ensuring timely completion of services and maintaining work schedules.
- Promote a team-first attitude while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring every client feels valued and heard.
- Manage client check-ins, explaining services and offering product knowledge.
- Handle customer communication professionally, including estimating and invoice/payment processing.
- Ensure seamless client check-out, providing a final review of the services completed.
- Maintain a high standard of quality control for all detailing services performed.
- Ensure that both the office and retail areas are kept clean and well-stocked with product inventory.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Continuously assess operational workflows and propose adjustments as necessary for better efficiency.
- Track and manage the shop's supplies and product inventory, ensuring availability of necessary materials for all services.
- Handle the ordering of supplies, detailing products, and any parts needed for specific client jobs.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Regularly assess inventory levels to avoid shortages and ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure that shop areas remain clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with necessary detailing supplies.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in an automotive or service industry.
- Strong understanding of auto detailing procedures, tools, and products.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle client concerns professionally.
- Experience in training, leading, and managing a team.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to accurately assign tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with estimating, invoicing, and payment processing systems.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience working in a detailing shop or related automotive service environment.
- Knowledge of Auto Sport Detailing services, products, and business practices.
Compensation:
- The annual salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $70,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and the ability to manage daily operations effectively.

Factors Influencing Compensation:
- Candidates with significant experience in the automotive industry, especially in detailing, window film installation, or ceramic coatings, are eligible for higher compensation.
- Additional knowledge of services such as window film installation, ceramic coating application, and other specialized detailing techniques will be considered when determining compensation.
- Our compensation is reflective of the shop’s performance and client volume, meaning that successful management of a high-volume operation will be rewarded accordingly.
