Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, particularly with GM vehicles. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring their vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. Your mechanical knowledge and ability to work with both hand and power tools will be essential in diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on GM vehicles, ensuring compliance with dealership standards.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle needs, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Document all services performed and parts used in accordance with dealership policies.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics systems and repair processes for GM vehicles is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are a plus.
