Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on powertrain systems. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
- Use schematics and diagrams to diagnose and repair complex automotive problems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and brake pad replacements
- Repair and maintain diesel engines and other powertrain systems
- Utilize power tools and specialized equipment to complete tasks efficiently
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in automotive technology and repair techniques
- Work effectively with others to complete tasks and meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Conduct vehicle diagnostics and use advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety guidelines
- Stay current with manufacturer updates and recalls
Skills:
- Experience as a mechanic or in a related field
- Strong knowledge of powertrain systems, including diesel engine repair
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams
- Proficiency with power tools and specialized equipment
- Experience with automotive repair and maintenance
- Strong diagnostic skills, with the ability to use advanced diagnostic tools
- Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other cutting-edge automotive technologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift, bend, and work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with post-secondary training or certification preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
