Role Summary
As a Senior Calibration Technician, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing teammates, daily operations and driving the strategic direction of a Kinetic Hub calibration center. With your level of automotive experience, you will be responsible for training and leading a team of technicians, managing workflow efficiency, ensuring adherence to the company’s quality standards. Through experience and leadership training you will foster a culture of continuous improvement within the calibration center. The role will accelerate business growth by guaranteeing customer satisfaction to all client types through communication and by delivering excellence service with a sense of urgency.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand requirements, address any concerns, deliver solutions, enhance system performance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily operations: including workflow management, scheduling, and cycle time.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources to include tooling, consumables, and other flex costs.
- Consistent communication to ensure clear, transparent, and responsive interactions to drive overall success.
- Provide leadership and coaching to a team of technicians.
- Maintain quality control processes to ensure the accuracy of services, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Serve as the expert in automotive knowledge: including but not limited to ADAS calibration, procedures, troubleshooting, tooling and equipment.
- Providing technical support and guidance to technicians as needed.
- Maintain accurate records: including file documentation and photos, scan reports, and performance metrics.
- Ensure safety and compliance of the facility, prioritize the safety of personnel and vehicles.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of technical vehicle acumen with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex vehicle issues.
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in ADAS calibrations. (Both OE and Aftermarket preferred)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Committed to service level excellence and customer retention.
- A plus if you have Automotive related degrees or certifications.
- A plus if you have experience in auto body collision repair.
- A plus if you have experience in a mobile technician role.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop a team of technicians.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive technologies, ADAS calibration procedures, diagnostic tools, and equipment. (Both OE and Aftermarket preferred)
- A plus if you have multiple OE diagnostic tool experience.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 10 hour shift (as needed)
- Weekends (as needed)
