Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our automotive Service Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a solid understanding of automotive repair processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of service quality within the dealership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the service team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Foster a customer-centric environment by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain knowledge of current automotive technologies and repair techniques, including brake repair and diesel engine repair.
- Collaborate with sales teams to promote service offerings and enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor service department performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations within the service area.
- Conduct regular training sessions for technicians to enhance their skills in automotive repair, including air brake systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a management role within an automotive dealership or repair facility.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
- Familiarity with sales processes related to automotive services is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both staff and customers.
- Experience as a service technician is advantageous, particularly in areas such as brake repair and diesel engine systems.
- A valid driver's license is required.
