The District Attorney’s Office for the 8th Judicial District is looking for a Deputy District Attorney and Investigator to take the lead on prosecuting motor vehicle theft cases and other major crimes involving stolen vehicles.This role focuses specifically on auto theft crimes. You will work closely with law enforcement, victims, and other prosecutors to handle cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate should understand criminal law, especially property crimes, and be committed to keeping the community safe.Although based in the 8th Judicial District, you will also collaborate with District Attorneys in the 13th, 14th, and 19th Judicial Districts, covering multiple counties in Colorado. Travel will be required as you manage cases through investigation, trial, and sentencing.This is a grant-funded position through the Colorado District Attorney’s Council, and part of your work will include training law enforcement and other prosecutors on auto theft laws.
