What Would You Do? The right candidate assists with maintaining the shop cleanliness and appearance and maximizing the overall customer service experience. They drive vehicles to and from service areas, other locations and lots as needed. This position assists with vehicle flow within the facility and assists the shop team in ensuring orderliness and efficiency. This position provides customer transportation as needed, and maintains organization and cleanliness of vehicle lots, shop, and service areas. They assist in the cleaning of cars for delivery to the customer as needed. This position is responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for a variety of customer service, stock keeping, and housekeeping duties to maximize the overall customer service experience.
- Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the front office and the interior of the work area, including emptying of garbage cans, cleaning floors, dusting, disposing of unwanted parts, assist in cleaning of spray booths, and placing tools and equipment in their proper locations.
- Picking up and delivering vehicles as needed to accommodate business/customer need.
- Shuttling customers to home, work, or other requested locations as needed.
- Parking and moving vehicles/equipment to maintain lot order as directed by management.
- Assists technicians and parts team in running parts to & from parts areas, stalls, and other locations.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report all accidents to a manager.
- Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Perform minor equipment and building maintenance/ repairs when necessary.
- Assist in vehicle prep for bodywork and/or prepped for the customer once the job is completed as assigned.
- Secure all vehicles and ensure vehicle keys are separate and secure.
Do you have the necessary education and experience?
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 1-3 years automotive body shop experience preferred.
