Position Title : Service Technician

Position Summary :
We are looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our dynamic service team. This role is essential for commissioning and conducting both preventative and corrective maintenance on advanced battery energy storage systems.
The ideal candidate will also manage responsibilities under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) for various Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
Frequent travel to project sites across the United States is required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Commission battery energy storage systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to meet warranty standards.
- Manage obligations for BESS equipment under LTSA, including :
- Energy Storage Cabinets (ESC)
- Power Conversion Stations (PCS)
- Ring Main Units (RMU) / Switchgear
- Transformers
- SCADA and networking devices
- Provide onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, and hands-on support to ensure equipment availability and capacity.
- Supervise subcontractors on-site as needed.
- Complete work order documentation promptly.
- Maintain accurate spare parts inventory.
- Execute Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) and switching procedures as required.
- Support client training during commissioning.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Qualified Electrical Technician.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a service environment, preferably in renewable energy.
- OSHA 30 Certification (OSHA 10 certification accepted if OSHA 30 is obtained shortly after hire).
- Familiarity with inverters and SCADA systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, and energy storage applications is an asset.
- Experience with CMMS software is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to regional locations (over 50% of the time).
