Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the shop.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to mechanical systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and electrical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in mechanics are a plus.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on the role.
