Wallwork Truck Center is currently hiring for Truck Body Technician to join our team. (Pay $18-$34/hr. DOE.) If you are interested in working for a successful company and great working environment, this is the place for you! Typical scheduled hours are Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The responsibilities for the Truck Body Technician are to repair and/or replace damaged truck parts and components; trucks will be repaired in accordance with factory and dealerships specifications using hand and power tools; to adhere to company-wide safety standards, work well within a team, and maintain regular attendance.
This role requires an H.S. diploma or equivalent; completion of mechanical trade school preferred or a minimum of three years of mechanical experience. A valid Class C driver's license is preferred; ASE certification and knowledge of truck body repair preferred; ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.
- Bolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment.
- File, grind and sand repaired surfaces.
- Repair or replace defective mechanical parts.
- Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Some overnight travel may be required as needed. (Lodging, meals and travel expenses are compensated per company guidelines.)
- Completes vehicle safety checks on company vehicles per Company policy and operates the vehicle within safety guidelines; immediately reports any safety concerns or Company Policy violations to management.
- Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
