OUR DEALERSHIP IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A SERVICE ADVISOR
- THIS service advisor works in an automotive dealership and is the liaison between the customer and service technicians working in the garage.
- YOU will work with customers to determine problems with a vehicle and provide technicians with accurate complaint descriptions and update customers about the cause and correction of the needed repairs or maintenance required.
- THE service advisor communicates with clients in variety of ways; by telephone, by e-mail, texting, but the majority will be face-to-face.
- YOU will interact all day with customers to process orders, and provide information about our organization's products and services and up-selling additional services & products. [the more you sell, the more you make]
- YOU will be solving customer’s problems and helping them with their product or service.
- YOU will be entering data onto a computer system, either while on the phone with the customer or after their service visit.
- YOU have the opportunity to control your income and get paid for your productivity
- YOU will work from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:30-5:30, Monday thru Friday, with 1 hour for lunch.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, parts and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, discovery from test drives and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
- Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing updated contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
