Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in both dealership environments and independent shops. This role requires a thorough understanding of various automotive systems, including powertrain and electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment. The Automotive Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles through comprehensive inspections, repairs, and maintenance services.
Duties
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues related to powertrain, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to conduct thorough inspections of vehicles.
- Align wheels and adjust suspension systems to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques, including Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Skills
- Proficient in automotive repair techniques with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with powertrain components and their functions within various vehicle models.
- Experience with auto body repair is a plus but not required.
- Ability to effectively use hand tools and diagnostic equipment for accurate assessments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
